What personal data we collect and why we collect it

We collect information about the user during the user registration form submission process on our site. To combat spam, Perpetual Daydreams also collects information about visitors who comment on our site through our anti-spam service, Akismet. This information typically includes the commenter’s IP address, user agent, referrer, and Site URL (along with other information directly provided by the commenter such as their name, username, email address, and the comment itself). Who on our team has access

Members of our team have access to the information you provide us. For example, Administrators can access:

  • Form submission information and other details related to it
  • Registered user information like your email.

Our team members have access to this information to help fulfill entries and support you.

 

Comments

When visitors leave comments on our website, we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

 

Contact forms

We may keep contact form submissions for a certain period for customer service purposes, but we do not use the information submitted through them for marketing purposes.

 

Cookies

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our site, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

 

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this website, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

 

Information of Minors

Perpetual Daydreams does not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13. If you believe your child has provided such information on our website, please contact us immediately to ensure that your child’s data will be deleted from our records.
